In 2002, AKMER-YAPI has dedicated its all production capacity for the accessories. –

We have been in the market with the brand mane “AKM”. And we have started to produce the accessories in the same year by the trade mark of AKM.
From the third quarter of 2003, we have committed on handrail accessories production as our only interest area. From that date AKMER YAPI have been reconstructing it’s organization by adding some departments such as marketing, sales, technical support, R&D, Production planning, Machining, surfaces treatment (anodic oxidation), quality control, packaging and delivery.

In 2004 with our expanding supply, AKM felt a need for more Professional management of marketing. For this purpose we transferred marketing, sales and technical support departments AKM has been developing aesthetic, handy an safe products. Ant these products got approval from Turkish patent institute as a valuable product certificate. AKM’s most reputable products are the strut sphere tum set and the strut side Connection. And the next development is the LAMA System for extending demand of future architecture. –The LAMA Model is not a single part; it is a complete set of handrail parts.
The AKM aluminum handrail systems consist of the appropriate Aluminum Profiles. AKM handrail accessories are produced not only with conventional machines but also with special machines established for the high aesthetic and functionality demand of the customer.

AKM has the only ELOKSAL facility in Turkey with the ability of various color painting of the accessories and surface treatment. At AKM, by ELOKSAL facilities, we are able to reach 18 microns of plating according to QALANOT standards. This level is the highest which can be reached according to QALANOT standards. The ELOKSAL plating can be made in natural aluminum colors shading from yellow to brown. And even with these colors it perfectly protects handrail accessories. In QALANOT standards The18 microns plating is able to protect the handrail accessories according to the World standards. These effects can be desert heat, direct sun light, salty sea water, High temperature and severe cold. In any case handrail with 18 microns ELOKSAL plating will not need any maintenance during their product lifetime.

We applied most severe conditions to AKM products to guarantee the high level of quality certification. It’s the first time in Turkey that an aluminum handrail system has been tested by the chair of structural strength institute at Istanbul Technical University. The AKM aluminum accessories have passed all of the mechanic tests successfully. These tests were ASTM E 935 static load test and ASTM E 2353 impact test. These tests were including the most severe conditions which could be applied on an Aluminum handrail system. That means any of the handrail systems regardless of its raw material, stainless steel or other materials, need to pass these test’s successfully to prove its acceptance as a safe handrail system. During these severe tests AKM handrail products proved 100% success at their anchorage connections, Screw connections, and joints. The AKM handrail accessories are the only one which passed all of the required mechanic tests. ASTM E 935 static load test and ASTM E 2353 impact test.
